Legal Files Software, Inc., a leading provider of matter and legal case management systems, has been awarded a U.S. government contract to provide its namesake case management system and related services to the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which regulates the futures and option markets in the U.S., will implement the Legal Files case management system for 350 users in five divisions, including the Division of Enforcement which investigates and prosecutes alleged violations of the Commodity Exchange Act and Commission regulations.
“Advances in information technology presented the Commission with an opportunity to enhance its mission capabilities and improve efficiency,” Legal Files CEO John Kanoski said. “The Legal Files Case Management System will provide essential support to CFTC enforcement investigation activities, including litigation, and also support many other CFTC requirements.”
Legal Files Software, Inc. was awarded the multi-year contract after responding to a formal Request for Quotation last year. As part of the agreement, Legal Files Software, Inc. will provide custom programming for a data conversion from a legacy program; project management services; onsite system configuration assistance; administrative user training and end user training; and maintenance and support, in addition to the licensing of its software.
