Coastal Carolina Enhances University Counsel Operations with Legal Files

“With Legal Files, we can work more cohesively as a team, tracking a wide range of legal and related matters, including contracts, subpoenas, FOIA requests, workers’ compensation, expenses and more.”

Coastal Carolina University (CCU), a public university in Conway, S.C., has implemented Legal Files, a matter, document and workflow management application developed by Legal Files Software, Inc., for its Office of University Counsel.

“Organization and uniformity are absolute necessities in our office, so we sought out a software system that can store all our files and to-do lists in one central location and provide consistency in other processes. Thankfully, Legal Files checked all the boxes for those essentials,” University Counsel Amanda Bailey said. “With Legal Files, we can work more cohesively as a team, tracking a wide range of legal and related matters, including contracts, subpoenas, FOIA requests, workers’ compensation, expenses and more.”

Legal Files’ customized implementation services included extensive training, which will continue to be available as users become more familiar with the new system and as the office expands its use of Legal Files’ more robust features, such as automated document generation, in the future.

Legal Files is widely used by many higher education institutions, including Boston University, Bowdoin College, Clemson University, Los Angeles Community College District, Marshall University, Seton Hall University, St. John’s University, State University of New York, Texas A&M University, University of Arizona, University of Connecticut, University of Illinois, University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg, University of Massachusetts and Villanova University.
